Wegreenit was responsible for the energy requalification of the residential building at Via Machiavelli, 10 in Abbiategrasso, in the province of Milan.

As the General Contractor, Wegreenit coordinated and carried out the architectural and plant design from the pre-feasibility phase to the executive phase, permitting, financial operations related to the intervention, project management, supplies, the realization of the intervention, and the organization of the work management and safety coordination.

A series of works were carried out on the condominium to improve its energy performance: the insulation of the vertical walls and the ceiling of the basement floors with a thermal insulation system, the installation of an insulating mat in the attic space, and the installation of solar screens. From the plant engineering point of view, the independent boilers were replaced with condensing heat generators and a photovoltaic plant with a peak power of about 20 kW and an associated storage system with a capacity of 30 kWh was installed.

In accordance with the new European ‘Green Homes’ Directive, the individual housing units went from an average energy class E to an average energy class of Class A1, with energy savings in energy bills of around 60 per cent and an increase in the average flat value of around 30 per cent.
