The condominium located at Via Leonardo Da Vinci, 26 a/b in Segrate, consisting of two almost identical blocks of flats, was the subject of an architectural and energy requalification managed in its entirety by Wegreenit, acting as General Contractor, which organised the architectural and plant engineering design, permitting, financial activities related to the intervention, project management, supplies, executive construction, works management and safety coordination.
On both buildings, the dispersing envelope was insulated with a thermal insulation system on the vertical surfaces and on the pilotis floor ceiling, as well as the installation of insulating panels on the pitched roof. In addition, the thermal power plant was completely upgraded, so as to improve the efficiency of the central heating system, and two photovoltaic systems with storage systems were installed, one serving each of the buildings and their respective condominium users.
Wallboxes for recharging electric vehicles were provided for the buildings and some windows and doors were replaced. In order to upgrade the buildings as a whole, the balconies were also refurbished.
All the work carried out contributed to the improvement of the architectural and maintenance aspects of the condominium complex, and led to an increase in the energy performance of the buildings such that, in accordance with the new European ‘Green Homes’ Directive, they were upgraded from energy class D to energy class A1.
