Wegreenit, as General Contractor, took care of all design, administrative, executive and logistical aspects related to the energy requalification of the apartment building located in Cernusco Sul Naviglio, Via Alcide De Gasperi 6.

The main work performed was the insulation of the dispersing envelope, through the construction of a thermal insulation system on the vertical walls and the installation of sandwich panels in insulating material on the roof. It was also associated with the complete renovation of the roofing system, both in its structural and finishing parts, which was necessary due to its sub-optimal state of preservation, and the need to make it suitable for the installation of a photovoltaic system with a power of 10kW, associated with an energy storage system with a capacity of 30 kWh.

In addition, the windows and doors of the flats were replaced, autonomous boilers for generating domestic hot water and heating were replaced with condensing systems, and new solar screens were installed. In addition to this, the balconies were completely upgraded and the entrance doors to the condominium were replaced.

The improvement of the building’s energy performance also entailed, in fact, its revamping at the general architectural level, which was necessary given its state of maintenance.

Following the new European Green Homes Directive, individual housing units have gone from an average energy class of F to an average performance level of Class B, with energy bill savings of around 50 per cent and an increase in the average flat value of around 30 per cent.
