After a challenging season, Wegreenit Urania Milano qualifies for the playoffs of the Italian Basketball A2 championship. Urania finished fifth with 28 points in the Green round, behind Trapani Shark, Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù, Reale Mutua Torino and Real Sebastiani Rieti.
Wegreenit S.P.A., as title sponsor, is thrilled with the qualification. In agreement with the sports management, the club invites all the fans who have supported the team so far to continue supporting it. The last matches will be held at the Allianz Cloud, the historical sports palace of the city of Milan.
To celebrate this first victory, the buildings on the busiest streets in the centre of the Lombard capital have been clad in a new outdoor campaign. The leadwalls, which show images of the team, were created in collaboration with Acone Associati, a leading outdoor advertising and consultancy company in Italy and Europe for tailor-made communication campaigns.
Wegreenit Urania Milano’s first Playoff game will be against Tezenis Verona, who finished fourth with 34 points in the Red group, behind Unieuro Forlì, Apu Old Wild West Udine and Flats Service Fortitudo Bologna. The winner will advance to the next phase by clashing with the winner of the match between Trapani Shark and UCC Assigeco Piacenza.
The winner will advance to the final for the A table. The Wegreenit team will be busy from Sunday 5 May until Wednesday 12 June 2024.
