Wegreenit took on the role of General Contractor in the energy and architectural upgrading of the Torre C condominium in Segrate, located at 7 Via Regina Teodolinda. As such, Wegreenit managed the architectural and plant design, permitting and dialogue with the local authorities, the financial activities connected with the intervention, the project management, the supply of materials and plants, the actual realization of the intervention, the works management and safety coordination.
Work was carried out on the building to improve its energy performance: the insulation of the vertical walls and the ceiling of the basement floors with a thermal insulation system, the installation of an insulating mat in the attic space, and the replacement of the flat windows and doors. In addition to these architectural aspects, autonomous boilers were replaced with new state-of-the-art condensing heat generators and Wallbox-type electric car charging systems were installed.
To complete the intervention, from an architectural point of view, the balconies of the building were upgraded.
In accordance with the new European ‘Green Homes’ Directive, individual housing units have gone from an average energy class D to energy performance in Class A2, with energy bill savings of around 60 per cent and an increase in the average flat value of around 30 per cent.
