Wegreenit has developed the skills and experience to design energy efficiency around the building.

The Engineering team consists of engineers and architects specialized in the energy and structural upgrading of buildings and the installation of renewable energy systems, with cross-functional skills to meet the specific needs of each project.

To achieve the Zero Energy Building (ZEB) targets introduced by the Energy Performance Building Directive (EPBD), better known as the ‘Green Homes’ Directive, Wegreenit is working on optimizing existing buildings, using a BIM modeling approach and advanced building physics analysis and research.

Our main activities include:

Since 2019, we have been involved in energy efficiency by following all phases of the interventions, from planning the site completion. Among the tools we have developed over the years to accompany retrofitting projects is Renovation Passport Plus (RPp), a detailed roadmap that starts with an analysis of the property’s situation, to plan energy retrofits in a scalable and sustainable manner.

The distinctive feature of RPp is its integrated approach: in addition to identifying priorities, costs, and economic benefits of interventions, it is closely linked to the subsequent design and construction phases. It is therefore a much more advanced solution than a simple energy audit, because it allows optimal and planned management of resources.

Furthermore, RPp adopts technical criteria that comply with European directives and technical regulations and includes advanced options such as the Digital Building Twin and real-time monitoring, key elements to improve overall efficiency and enable smart building management. This tool is not just a guide, but a true ally for those who want to invest strategically in energy transition.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of creating and managing information for an asset. Based on an intelligent model, it integrates multidisciplinary data to produce a digital representation of the asset throughout its life cycle, from planning and design to construction and operation.

A BIM-based model returns the 3D representation of structural features and functional aspects of the asset and represents all the construction parts, referring to the current state and the state design: materials, measurements, partitions and slabs, structural elements, heating systems, functional elements.

The BIM design approach makes it possible to use a single simulation model to manage authorization procedures, deduce estimated metric calculations, fixture schedules, thermophysical characteristics, specifications and material specifications, seismic upgrading project management, and supporting project planning.

In addition, a design process in BIM helps to digitally explore alternative design choices, capture more detail and improve project staff coordination. Its use increases accuracy, predictability, and insight throughout the design cycle, achieving compelling results and providing the client with data-driven assurance that projects will be delivered on time and budget.

By the contents of UNI 11337, Wegreenit manages and coordinates project processes and executives using Autodesk Revit software.

The regulatory and authorization framework for implementing energy efficiency measures can be complex and varied.

At Wegreenit we take care of the entire authorization process for the realization of the project, supporting our clients in the issuing of the necessary documentation and in dealing with local authorities, technical offices.

Our team of experts is skilled in handle even the most complex procedures – e.g. in the presence of environmental, landscape, historical-architectural, and town-planning constraints – both in Italy and abroad, taking care of every stage.
