  • Data Controller

Pursuant to Articles 4 and 24 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Data Controller is Wegreenit S.p.A., with registered office at Piazzale Loreto, 17 – 20131 Milan (MI), Italy (“Wegreenit” or the “Company”), represented by its legal representative pro tempore.

  • Subject of Processing

This policy (together with any documents referenced herein) describes the personal data (“Personal Data”) that the Company collects from website users and how such data are processed.

  1. The Company collects personal information related to website visits, including—by way of example—traffic data, location data, weblogs, contact forms, other communication data, and the resources accessed by the user.
  2. The collection of such information allows the Company to make future visits easier by suggesting relevant content based on the user’s access location.

The Company collects all information provided by the user when submitting contact forms (e.g., “Contacts”), including first name, last name, email address, telephone number, province, VAT number, and Company Name. Providing personal data via contact forms is not a legal or contractual requirement; however, fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory because the Company needs such information to fulfill or respond to the user’s request. Failure to provide mandatory information will prevent the Company from processing the request. Additional information may be provided at the user’s discretion. Any correspondence with the Company may be recorded.

  1. The Company may also store cookies, as described in the Cookie Policy.

  • Purpose of Processing

Personal Data are collected and processed by the Company to:

  1. tailor content and resources to user preferences;
  2. respond to user requests or questions via email or telephone;
  3. create, publish, and improve the most relevant content for users;
  4. ensure that the content provided on the website is displayed in the most effective manner for each device;
  5. allow participation in interactive website features, if desired;
  6. further develop and improve the website and systems for better service.

Such processing is permitted under applicable data protection laws because it is:

  1. necessary for the Company’s legitimate interests in pursuing the above purposes, without conflicting with users’ privacy rights;
  2. in some cases, required to fulfill the Company’s legal or regulatory obligations, such as communication to authorities;
  3. in some cases, necessary for tasks carried out in the public interest or for legal claims.

The Company does not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects or significantly affects the user. Retention periods depend on the purpose of processing and the tools used. It is not possible to provide a comprehensible retention timeline here; criteria include: (i) necessity for the relevant purpose; (ii) duration of the business relationship; (iii) user consent; (iv) legal obligations.

  • Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

Information may be disclosed to third parties solely in the following cases:

  1. to service providers, contractors, and agents performing functions on behalf of the Company (e.g., website hosting, maintenance, or functional services). Such parties may access personal data only as necessary and are bound by confidentiality obligations;
  2. to governmental or judicial authorities when legally required.

  • IP Addresses and Cookies

The Company collects information about computers or other devices used to access the website, including IP address, operating system, and browser version, for system administration. These statistical data do not identify individual users.

Cookies may also be used to obtain information about general internet usage. Only technical and anonymized analytical cookies are used, excluding profiling cookies.

For more details, see the Cookie Policy.

  • Transfer of Personal Data

Personal Data may be transferred and processed in one or more countries inside or outside the European Union. Transfers outside the EU occur only to countries deemed adequate by the European Commission or where appropriate safeguards are implemented.

  • Data Security

The Company does its best to protect personal information; however, transmission of data over the internet is not completely secure, and the Company cannot guarantee security of data transmitted to the website. Any transmission is at the user’s risk.

Strict operational procedures and adequate technical and organizational measures are applied to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, deletion, or disclosure.

  • User Rights

Articles 15–22 GDPR grant users specific rights, including:

  1. Right to access and obtain a copy of Personal Data: users may request confirmation of processing and access their data.
  2. Right to rectification: users may request updates or corrections.
  3. Right to erasure: users may request deletion under certain circumstances; the Company will assess each request.
  4. Right to object: users may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  5. Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, users may withdraw it at any time.

  • Exercising Rights
