After little more than six months since the beginning of the works, Wegreenit is excited to announce that the 600 kWp photovoltaic plant realized for the Industria Farmaceutica Galenica Senese has been inaugurated!
The Industria Farmaceutica Galenica Senese is a historical Tuscan reality. It was founded in Siena in 1949 thanks to the desire and commitment of two pharmacists. The company specializes in the production and marketing of medicinal products for infusion and injection, and it’s located in Monteroni d’Arbia (Siena).
By photovoltaic system we mean a special electrical system capable of producing energy from a renewable and inexhaustible source: the sun.
To function, the panels that make up the plant absorb sunlight that is transferred to the electrons contained in the semiconductor material of which the plant is made.
The electrons, stimulated by the absorption of light, begin to move within the electric field. This generates current, which is then captured and distributed through a circuit. In essence, electricity is obtained through this alternative process.
Thanks to the energy efficiency intervention, the photovoltaic system built for Galenica Senese produces sustainable and efficient energy from a renewable source.
Wegreenit contributed to the realization of the photovoltaic plant for the Galenica Senese company with the pre-feasibility design of the intervention. Furthermore, as General Contractor, the company followed the authorization procedures, permits, supply and installation of materials (such as panels, switchboards and inverters) and up to the start-up of the plant.
