The agreement stipulates the activation of a dedicated service to support companies in the implementation of energy efficiency projects, as well as to facilitate the achievement of the ecological transition objectives envisaged by the PNRR.
Providing businesses with customers, through WeGreenIt’s consultation services, a form of concrete support needed to carry out energy efficiency projects, which are particularly relevant in the current context of increasing energy costs. Businesses will thus be able to take advantage of the benefits provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), launched by Italy to revive the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic by promoting the country’s sustainable and digital development. This is the goal of the partnership, which Credem, one of the main Italian banking groups and among the most solid in Europe, has signed with WeGreenIt, one of the main Energy Service Companies (ESCo) on the market, a certified company that manages energy efficiency projects in the Industrial, Residential and Hotel sectors as General Contractor, following the interventions at 360° (from energy audit, to design, from managing permits to supervising and coordinating the construction site).
The service is aimed specifically at companies with a turnover of more than 5 million euros, with the goal of reaching 300 companies involved by the end of 2026.
Specifically, the partnership provides for the activation of a dedicated service for Credem customers by WeGreenIt, which will manage the entire design part of the energy efficiency interventions and will be the single point of contact for the company. Credem will make financing available for companies to carry out ecological transition investments, with dedicated consultancy regarding the public subsidies envisaged by the PNRR.
“The constant increase in energy costs and the growing importance of sustainability for SMEs require dedicated consultancy to guide companies in a crucial moment for their transformation. Credem and WeGreenIt want to accompany companies in this key evolutionary path towards competitiveness,” said Massimo Arduini, Credem Banca’s Sales Manager.
“I am personally very happy with this successful strategic partnership with Credem, a solid bank with a historical reputation on the market. At WeGreenIt, we have always addressed the energetic and ecological needs of Italian companies. And we have found in Credem a bank that is extremely attentive to environmental issues,” declared Fabrizio Candoni, the President and CEO WeGreenIt.
This initiative is part of the broader plan launched by the Group to support entrepreneurs in participating in state tenders and to finance ecological and digital transition projects, as envisaged by the objectives of the PNRR, which provides resources for 2,5 billion euros by 2025. In addition to these resources is the credit support activity for companies offered by Credemfactor, a Group subsidiary specializing in factoring, with an endowment of funds dedicated to advancing contracts and liquidating receivables under the PNRR within industrial production chains and towards public entities.
The Credem Group is one of the main Italian banking institutions and amongst the most solid in Europe. It is listed on the Italian Stock Exchange and its total business at the end of March 2022, including total deposits and loans, amounts to over 120 billion euros.
